Front Photos: About half otoplasty procedures are done in young children after the age of 5-6 yrs, often before starting school. The sutures which are used to hold the ears back will gradually relax a few millimetres with time and then settle. These photographs were taken immediately after the bandages were removed at 1 week. Left Side Photos: Dr Roth uses suture techniques to gently fold the ear back into it's normal shape. You can see there are no sharp edges in the cartilage in the post-operative result.
