About Me


Dr Jason Roth (MED0001185485) is a specialist paediatric and adult otolaryngology head and neck surgeon with particular interest in facial plastic surgery (rhinoplasty, facelift, necklift). He has 15+ years experience and has completed both rhinology and facial plastic surgery training fellowships. He has completed the requirements for the International Board Certification in Facial Plastic Surgery. This certification involves sitting the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery examination in Plastic Reconstructive Surgery of the face, eyelids, nose, head and neck as well as meeting the additional requirements. These include providing a logbook and peer reviewed audit over a number of years.

Dr Roth has a particular interest in ageing face rejuvenation surgery, facelift, necklift, rhinoplasty, otoplasty and nose and sinus problems. As a head and neck trained ENT surgeon, Dr Roth performs surgery only on the nose, face, neck and ears and is one of Australia’s busiest facelift and rhinoplasty surgeons. By having a limited and focused scope of practice, Dr Roth has been able to develop significant expertise in these areas.

Dr Roth completed his otolaryngology training in Sydney before going on to undergo further training in Facial Plastic Surgery and Rhinology. He was awarded a twelve month fellowship in Advanced Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago. During that time he prepared for the International Facial Plastic Surgery examinations (IFFPSS) which provided a strong foundation for his Facial Plastic Surgery career. His role also included helping to manage a number of busy “sinus” clinics. He was exposed to advanced rhinology procedures including skull base, orbit, computer-guided surgery and revision sinus surgery.

Dr Roth has also spent time while in Chicago observing world leaders in rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery such as Dean Toriumi. Dr Toriumi is a recognised world leader in functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty.

Dr Roth then travelled to the Netherlands completed a European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship. Under doctors Trenite, Menger, Vuyk and Lohuis Dr Roth received further training in a broad range of procedures in Facial Plastic Surgery.

Dr Roth has travelled to New York and Connecticut to train with Dr Neil Gordon in the deep plane facelift technique. Dr Gordon is recognised as the world leader in deep plane facelifting and it was Dr Roth’s privilege to spend time with him and learn his approach.

Dr Roth grew up in Sydney and attended undergraduate medical school at the University of New South Wales. He undertook rotations in emergency medicine, intensive care, general medicine and general surgery. Dr Roth then underwent specialist surgical training in ear, nose and throat and head and neck surgery and became a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He is also a fellow of the Australian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and a number of other professional organisations.
