#6778 - Male Rhinoplasty
Details
24 year old patient with significant nasal obstruction and snoring. He had previously had nasal surgery with another surgeon 3 years ago and had not obtained a lasting improvement. His examination findings revealed a persistent (or recurrent deviation) of his nasal septum, a narrow nasal valve area internally and a dorsal hump. A combined rhinoplasty, septoplasty and bilateral turbinoplasties was performed. Spreader flaps were created to widen the nasal valve area internally. A septal extension graft was used to fix the tip position and add rigidity to the skin of the lower third of the nose. Post-operative results show a change in nostril shape and position. The patient reported he felt that his breathing was significantly improved as was his sleep quality. Note the near invisible columella scar. This area heals very well if sutured carefully. Post-operative photos taken at approximately 12 months following surgery. Results vary from person to person. All surgery performed by Dr Jason Roth (MED0001185485), Otolaryngology head and neck surgeon, Sydney. Cosmetic surgery is a serious decision.
