#4896 - Female Rhinoplasty
Details
Younger patient with significant breathing issues and snoring wishing to undertake some cosmetic changes to the nose at the same time. A combined functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty procedure was carefully planned. Given her age, the patient’s GP was asked to make an assessment as to whether she was psychologically ready for the surgery and decided that she was. A functional and cosmetic septorhinoplasty with turbinoplasties was performed. The nasal septum was reconstructed. The dorsal hump was lowered, the tip slightly narrowed. Additional support was placed through the mid-third in the form of spreader grafts. Additional cartilage grafts helped to support the nasal tip cartilages. Post-operative photos taken at approximately 12 months following surgery. The patient’s breathing issues were resolved. She was very pleased with the cosmetic outcomes achieved. Results vary from person to person. Cosmetic surgery is a serious decision. More information about the risks and recovery of each procedure is available on our website. All surgery performed by Dr Jason Roth (MED0001185485), Otolaryngology head and neck surgeon, Sydney.
